Ja tere tulemast tagasi mu blogisse. Kui nüüd aus olla, siis mul polegi väga aega seda pidevalt täiendada. 😅 Kogu aeg on vaja midagi teha või kusagil olla. See, et mul tegevust on, pole muidugi üldse halb, ja ma ei kurda ka. Aga vahepeal hakkab kahju, kuna ma tahan oma muljeid ja kogemusi siia ka jagada. Üheks põhjuseks, miks ma seda blogi üldse pean, on, et kui ma oma vahetusaasta 10ne kuu pärast ära olen lõpetanud, siis saan ma ise ka oma kirjutatud teksti lugeda. Näen, kuidas aasta jooksul muutunud olen, ja mis kõik selle pika aja jooksul olen ikkagi ära jõudnud teha. Vabandan veekord, et eelmine nädal postitus vahele jäi. 😕 Mul tõesti polnud aega.

ESIMENE PAKK

Eelmisel neljapäeval, 13. septembril, sain ma kätte esimese paki oma päris perelt Eestis. 😇 Ütleme nii, et tunne oli küll selline nagu jõuludel kinke avades. Jube põnev, mis siis, et ma teadsin, mis nad mulle saatma pidid. 😁 Igatahes, mulle saadeti kaks kampsunit, näomakse, kaisukaru, dušigeeli, kehakreemi, palju palju erinevaid Eesti komme, sporditossud, kaks kleiti, kodused voodilinad ja pikakäistega särgi. Pooled asjad omad, pooled uued. Nüüd on sellest möödas juba terve nädal, niiet on tekkinud uusi asju, millest puudust tunnen. Kui kõik läheb nii nagu planeeritud, siis järgmise pakikese peaksin ma kätte saama juba järgmisel nädalal.😊

See pakk oli tegelikult palju raskem, kui siin pildil tundub 😂

SAKSAMAA – BELGIA – HOLLAND – USA

Laupäeval, 15.septembril, asusime koos hostema ja –isaga peale hommikusööki kohe teele. Meil oli plaanis külastada kolmeriigipiiripunkti. Ma loodan, et see sõna tuli nüüd õieti. Igatahes teel sinna saime läbi käidud veel paarist teisestki kohast. Esiteks peatusime me Henry Chapelle Cemetaryl, Belgias.  Kuna see ala kuulub ametlikult USAle, siis teoreetiliselt sain ma sellel päeval ka Ameerikast läbi hüpata. 😃 Seal kalmistul on peaaegu 8000 hauda Ameerika sõduritele, kes Teises Maailmasõjas surma said. Hauakivideks on seal siis ristid, mis on paigutatud nii, et need on samaaegselt mitut erinevat viisi ridades. Seda on suhteliselt raske seletada, nii et ma loodan, et pildi pealt on paremini aru saada. 

Teiseks peatuseks sai meil Abbaye du Val-Dieu. 1216 aastal oli see mungaklooster ning viimased mungad lahkusid sealt alles peale 2001. aastat. Seal on ka oma õlletehas, kus tehakse mingit erilist kanget õlu. Sain seda proovida ning jälle ka kooki süüa.😋 Külastasime samuti kloostri kirikut, mis oli väga tagasihoidliku kujundusega, ning jalutasime üüratult suures aias. See oli pigem nagu park, ja nii suur ka veel, et me keerasime poole pealt otsa ringi. Pean ka mainima, et Aacheni katedraal on sada korda ilusam. Ma nende kahe erinevust siin kahjuks näidata ei saa, sest Aacheni omas polnud lubatud pilti teha. Üllatavalt paljud sõidavad siin jalgratastega. Ei ole nii, et ainult Hollandis võib palju jalgrattaid leida. Ma ütleks, et Saksamaal ja Belgias on need ikka peaaegu sama populaarsed. 

Val-Dieu õlu ja aprikoosikook

Kolmandaks ja ka viimaseks peatuseks oli meil punkt, kus kolme riigi (Belgia, Saksamaa, Hollandi) piirid kohtuvad. 😜Ronisime kolmekesi päris kõrge vaatetorni otsa ja ega peale seda oli hing kinni ka. Kõik koos ähkisime seal üleval paar minutit. Lisaks oli trepp tehtud metallvõrest. Ma pole kindel, kas selle kohta metallvõre saab öelda, aga igatahes nägin ma terve tee alla. Iga sammuga aina kõrgemale. Ma tavaliselt kõrgust ei karda, aga see oli ikka küll päris jube. 😵 Alla tagasi tulles tegin kolmeriigipunktis pilti ning sain samaaegselt olla Belgias, Saksamaal ja Hollandis. 

Pärast kõike seda sõitsime me tagasi Aachenisse, kus oli algamas laupäevane Aachen September Special 2018. See üritus kestis neljapäevast pühapäevani. Sõime alguses ühes tüüpilises Saksamaa kiirrestoranis. Ma võtsin hapukapsast ja vorsti. Hapukapsast süües tekkis ikka päris kodune tunne. Ülejäänud õhtu kuulasime saksa cover-bändi NYNE.😍😎 No sellist asja pole ma küll varem kuulata saanud. Ma arvan, et see oli üks ägedamaid kontserte, mida ma kuulata olen saanud. Nad esitasid nii saksa, kui ka inglisekeelseid laule. Ma teadsin neist küll maksimaalselt kolme, kuid seda sai ka ilma laule tundmata nautida.😇

👌 NYNE 👌

MONSCHAU

Eile, 22. septembril, käisime koos hostemaga väikeses Monschau linnas. See on üks kõige armsamaid ja kenamaid kohti, mida ma näinud olen, niiet soovitan seda kõigil vähemalt korra elus külastada. 😍💛 Monschau asub Saksamaal täpselt Saksa-Belgia piiri ääres. See on ligikaudu 95km² suurune ja seal elab 12 000 inimest. Tallinna pindalaga võrreldes on Monschau peaaegu 2 korda väiksem.
Sõitsime sinna Aachenist peaaegu tund aega, kuid see oli seda väärt. Monschau asub üli kenas orus mägede vahel ning sinna jõudmiseks tuleb sõita päris pikalt mööda käänulist teed. Alguses oli lõbus edasi tagasi vingerada. Lõpuks hakkas pea veidi ringi käima. 😵 Jõudsime kohale ning parkisime auto linna keskkohast veidi kaugemale. Sinna oli sügis juba kohale jõudnud - maa värvilisi lehti täis ja õhk karge nagu sügisel ikka. 🍂🍁Monschaus on palju armsaid kohvikuid ja käsitööpoode, nii et kui olime linnale ringi peale teinud, ei saanud kohvikusse minemisest üle ega ümber. Võtsime hostemaga mõlemad tüki kooki ja kohvi. 🍰 Lisaks külastasime me Monschaus asuvat Euroopa suurimat liivakujude muuseumit ja klaasivalmistamise tehast. See väike linn on tõeline turistide magnet. Ma polegi pikka aega nii palju inglise keelt enda ümber kuulnud + kuulsin ka esimest korda Saksamaal vene keelt. 😁

SÕBRAD

Viimased nädalad olen palju mõelnud selle peale, kuidas endale siin Saksamaal sõpru leida. Alguses tundsin ma end väga imelikult. Ma olin nagu tulnukas teiste keskel. 👽 Kõigil on oma tutvused, kõik teavad mida teha, kellega rääkida ja kus olla. Mina, aga olin ühest reaalsusest teise tõstetud. Otsisin kohta, kus olla, ja kus tunneksin end mugavalt. Peas oli kinni mõte, et pean absoluutselt kõigiga kohe suhtlema hakkama ja kohe leidma kellegi, kes oleks mulle sama suureks sõbraks kui inimene, keda olen juba 11 aastat tundnud. See tekitas palju stressi ja ma arvan, et mu tugevad peavalud olid ka just sellepärast. 😕
Nüüd olen jõudnud arvamusele, et kõige targem polegi kohe esimese inimesega, kes silma jääb, sõpradeks hakata. Ma ju tegelikult ei tea, kes ta on, kus ta tuleb, milline on tema tegelik arvamus minust. Ma arvan, et targem on leida keegi, kellega mul on midagi ühist. Keegi, kellega mul on midagi, millest rääkida, või midagi, mida koos teha. Ega poodi minnes ka ei võta ju esimest asja, mis silma jääb. Vaatad ringi ja leia selle, mis kõige rohkem endale meeldib. Lõpuks on see kõik su enda teha ja otsustada. 😉

Praegu sajab juba mitmendat tundi järjest tihedat seenevihma – perfektne ilm, mille ajal teki all istuda, blogi kirjutada ja koduseid komme nosida. 😋 Mu lemmik 💕Võibolla sellepärast ma eelmine nädalavahetus aega ei leidnudki, sest õues oli liiga ilus ilm (30 kraadi).

Järgmine blogipostitus tuleb lähima kahe nädala jooksul. Või siis kolme. Oleneb sellest, kui laisk ma olen. 😁

And welcome back to my blog. To be honest, I don´t have much time to write here anymore. 😅 I have so much to do and I constantly have to be somewhere. I´m not saying, that it´s bad, that I always have something to do. I really like it, I do. It´s just, that I think I don´t have enough time for my blog. It´s a shame, because I want to share my impressions and experiences also with you, here. One of the reasons I´m writing this blog, is that I can read it also myself, after I´m done with this exchange year. It´s a great way to see, how I have changed throughout the year and how many exiting things I have managed to do. I´m sorry again, that I didn´t update the blog last week. 😕 I really didn´t have the time.

THE FIRST PACKAGE

Last Thursday, 13th of September, I got my first package from my family back home in Estonia. 😇 Let´s just say that the feeling was the same, when I get to open the presents in christmas. I already knew, what they were gonna send me. 😁 Nevertheless, it was sooo exciting. Anyway, I got two sweathers, facial masks, teddy bear, shower gel, body cream, many different Estoninan candies, running shoes, two dresses, bed sheets from home and a T-shirt. Half of the things were my own, and half of them new. So it has been a whole full week since I got the package. And now, I have new thing, that I miss from home. If everything goes as planned, my next package should arrive in about a week or so. 😊

Yes, there´re signs with my name on the chocolate bars. 😂 I had to make sure, that
my Estonian family will not eat these before i get to put them into my luggage.

GERMANY – BELGIUM – THE NETHERLANDS  – the USA

On last Saturday, on 15th of September, me, my hostmother and –father decided to visit the point of the border of three different countries, We also visited a few other places on the way. We left the house right after breakfast. Firstly, we stopped at the Henry Chapelle Cemetery, in Belgium. As the area belongs officially to the USA, then theoretically I also got to visit America that day. 😃 In that cemetery there are 8000 graves of the American soldiers, who died in Belgium during the Second World War. The headstones are shaped as crosses and they are located so, that they form lines at least in three diferent ways. It´s really hard to explain. I hope the picture makes it a bit more clear. 

The second stop was the Abbaye du Val-Dieu. In 1216, it was a monastery and the last monks left there after the year of 2001. The monastery also has its own brewery, where they make a special kind of really strong beer. We got to taste it and had some cake in a cafe there. 😋 Lastly we visited the church of the monastery and looked at a huge garden that it has. It seemed more like a park than a garden. And it was so huge that we only walked through half of it. I also have to mention that I find the cathedral of Aachen much more beautiful than the church of that monarchy. Unfortunately I can´t show you the difference between those two, because at the one in Aachen, I wasn´t allowed to take any pictures. Suprisingly, a lot of people ride their bikes here. Not only Holland has a huge amount of bikes, but biking is also very popular in Belgium and Germany. Well, at least in the part of the country, that I live in.

The third and the last stop was the point, where the borders of the three countries (Belgium, Germany, Netherlands) come together. 😜 All three of us climbed to the top of the observation(?) tower and were quite tire afterwards. The stairs were also like seethrough, so you can see all the time how high up you are. I´m not usually scared of the hights, but that was quite scary even for me. 😵 When we came back down, I got to take a picture of me standing in three different countries at the same time. So in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.

After all this, when we were back in Aachen, we visited a German fast food restaurant. I got myself a sausage with some sauerkraut (in english pickled cabbage(?)). At that time there was the event called Aachen September Special 2018. It lasted from thursday to sunday. Then we got to listen to a German cover-band called NYNE. 😍😎 I think I have never heard this kind of thing before. They sang german and english songs, and they sang so good. I think it was one one the best concerts I have ever been to. I really enjoyed the concert, even though I only knew about three of the songs, that they performed. 😇

MONSCHAU

Yesterday, 22nd of September, me and my hostmother visited a small German town called Monschau. It is one of the sweetest and the most beautiful places I have seen, and I definetly recommend visiting it to everyone. 😍💛 Manschau is located at the border of Germany. The area is about 95km2 and there live approximately 12 000 people. Compared to Tallinn, that city is about two times smaller.
We drove there about an hour from Aachen, but it was worth it. Monschau is located in a beautiful valley between two mountains and to get there, you have to drive along a long winding road. At first it was fun, but then my head started spinning. 😵 We parked our car outside the city centre, so we could see every part of the town. Autumn had already arrived in that town, the ground was covered with colourful leaves and the air was crisp, as it usually is in autumn. 🍁🍂 Monschau has a lot of cute little cafes and handicraft stores. After seeing the whole town, we decided to sit down in a cafe, rest, eat some cake and drink caffee. 🍰 What´s more, we visited the biggest sand sculpture museum in Europe and also a big glas factory. This little town is a real tourist magnet. I haven´t heard so many people speaking English for a while now + I also heard some Russian for the first time in Germany. 😁

FRIENDS

For the past few weeks I have been thinkg a lot about how to find friends here in Germany. At first I felt quite weird. I was like an alien among all the others. 👽 Everyone has their own friends, everyone knows what to do, who to talk to and where to be. I really felt out of place. I was put from one reality to another. I was looking for a place, where to be, and where I could feel myself more comfortable. I had this idea stuck in my head, that I have to start communicating with everyone straight away. That I have to find someone, who would be so good friend to me as someone, who I have already known for eleven years. It created a lot of stress for me and I think, that the strong headaches I had were just because of that. 😕Now I have come to a conclusion, that the smartest thing isn´t to instantly start making friends with everyone. Because I don´t really know, who they are, where they come from, and what they really think of me. I think, it´s better to find someone, who I have something in common with. Someone, who I have something to talk about, or something to do together with. For example, when you go to a store, you don´t take the first thing that catches your eye. You look around more, see everything and then take the one you like the most. In the end, it´s all your own decision. 😉

It has been raining for hours now – the perfect weather for sitting under my blanket, write my blog and enjoy the candy from home. 😋 My favourite. 💕 Maybe that´s why I didn´t have the time to write my blog last weekend. Because the weather was too beautiful (30 degrees).

I´m gonna write my next blog post in about two weeks. Or three. Depending on how lazy I am. 😁

KOOL
Esimene päev koolis oli suhteliselt kohutav 😓. Mitte, et inimesed ülbed või kool halb oleks olnud, vaid esimene päev uues keskkonnas, kus sa kedagi ei tunne, kus räägitakse võõrast keelt, ja kus sa varem käinud pole, oli väga segadusseajav ja koduigatsust tekitav. Ma tundsin end mega halvasti. Paaris tunnis oleksin äärepealt isegi nutma hakanud. Proovisin kogu aeg positiivsetele asjadele keskenduda ja kõiges midagi head näha. Aga igakord jõudsin oma mõtetega ikkagi kodu juurde tagasi. Ja siis tulid pisarad silma ka. Sain sellel päeval õnneks paar tundi varem koolist ära, kuna mu hostema oli nõus mind autoga koju viima. Mu hostema töötab mu koolis sekretärina 😄 , niiet seegi väike lohutus.
Kui ma siis lõpuks koju jõudsin, istusin oma voodi peale, mässisin end teki sisse ja ma ei suutnud enam koduigatsust enda sees hoida. Niiet eks ma seal siis omaette natuke aega nutsin. Ajaga läks enesetunne õnneks paremaks. 
Järgmistel päevadel sai lõpuks ka kaasõpilastega suhtlema hakatud. Ega nüüd kui ma juba kedagi tunnen, ei olegi kool nii hirmus kui see alguses näis. Eile ehk laupäeva õhtul sain linnas kokku klassiõe Nataliaga. Alguses tutvustas ta mulle linna ning siis läksime me White House restorani sööma. Võtsime kahe peale Faijta. Kes ei tea, siis Faijta tähendab seda, et köögiviljad ja ükskõik mis liha on kokku segatud ning seda serveeritakse taco või tortillana. Lisaks võtsime me mõlemad endale kokteili Swimming Pool. See oli mega hea 💙 . Soovitan soojalt 😉

SAKSAMAA KOOLISÜSTEEM

Esimest korda kui ma omavanuste tunniplaani nägin pidi mu aju äärepealt õhku lendama. Sellist asja pole ma varem näinud 😮. Neil on kolm ainet, mida nad kindlalt õppima peavad – saksa keel, matemaatika ja inglise keel. Kõik teised ained saavad nad vist ise valida. Valikus on siis ladina, itaalia, hispaania keel, füüsika, keemia, teater, kehaline, kunst, muusika, geograafia, bioloogia, keemia, informaatika, ajalugu, pedagoogika, filosoofia ja poliitika. Igatahes valik on suur ja lai. Ainuke asi, mida meeles peab pidama on see, et igal õpilasel peab tulema nädala peale kokku (kui ma õigesti mäletan siis) 34 tundi. Kursuse hinded sõltuvad sellest, kui hästi eksamid tehakse ja kui aktiivselt tunnis osaletakse. 
Võrreldes Eesti koolitundidega on vahe ikka päris suur 😄. Kõik hoiavad peaaegu kogu aeg kätt püsti ja absoluutselt igaüks töötab tunnis väga aktiivselt kaasa. Kui Eestis üritab igaüks õpetajale nii märkamatuks kui võimalik jääda, siis siin käib võitlus pigem selle üle, kellel õnnestus seekord vastata. On näha, et kooli on tuldud õppima ja uusi teadmisi omandama, mitte lihtsalt pea laua peal magama. Minu jaoks on klassis tänu sellele väga motiveeriv õhkkond, isegi siis kui ma tunnis sõnagi saksa keelest aru ei saa 😂. (Kindlasti mainiksin ka, et igal maakonnal on oma koolisüsteem)

ESIMENE KEHALINE

Niisiis... ma arvan, et ainuke asi, mis mulle praegu pettumust siin Saksamaal valmistanud on, on kehalise kasvatuse tund. Nädal aega tagasi anti mulle võimalus valida 5 erineva kehalise kursuse vahel. Ma neid kõiki nüüd peast ei mäleta, aga ma valisin selle, mis keskendub jalgpallile ja kergejõustikule. Alguses tahtsin ma võrkpalli kursuse võtta, aga kuna see sisaldas ka tantsimist, siis oli see minu jaoks 100% “no-go“ 😑. Niisiis pidin ma võrgust loobuma. Aga ega ma olin jalkaga ka väga rahul. Igatahes, ma ootasin seda kehalist terve nädala ning lootsin, et saan lõpuks korralikku sporti ka teha. Niisiis täpselt siis kui tund hakkama pidi ehk kl 13.15 (vist), lasi õpetaja meid uksest sisse. Me vahetasime riided, läksime saali ning istusime kõik ringi. PS! Poistel ja tüdrukutel on siin kehalise tunnid ALATI koos ehk esimene veider asi, mida ma märkasin. Õpetaja hakkas midagi saksa keeles rääkima. Rääkis ja rääkis ja rääkis ja rääkis. Ja ma mõtlesin, et ta räägibki nüüd kaks tundi jutti 😃. Alles 45 minutit hiljem jagunesime gruppidesse ja selle asemel, et nüüd kohe jalkat mängima hakata, hakkasime me hoopis harjutusi tegema. Ja ainult neid me tunni lõpuni ka tegime. Kindlasti on ka Eesti koolide kehalise tunnid erinevad, kuid kui meil ikka Tallinna 21. Koolis kehaline on, siis vähemalt on kogu aeg tempo sees ja kellelgi ei lasta niisama kuskil nurgas istuda. Niisiis ma ei teagi nüüd, mida järgmisest kehalisest oodata, kuna ega ma ju midagi aru ei saanud, kui õpetaja terve kursuse plaani üksikasjalikult saksa keeles lahti seletas 😅. 

Neid kahte saab näha iga päev peale kooli 🐄🌳

IKEA
Eile hommikul, kohe peale söömist, sõitsime me hostemaga Hollandisse. Ma pole kunagi Hollandis käinud, niiet see oli minu jaoks ikka suht põnev 😜 . Mis siis, et me sinna ainult selleks sõitsime, et mulle IKEAst paar sisekujundusasja osta 😂 (btw sõit sinna oli ainult 20min). Kohe, kui olime üle piiri sõitnud, oli näha erinevust Hollandi ja Saksamaa majade vahel. Hollandi majad jätsid väga armsa mulje. Kohe jäid silma ka iga nurga peal lillepotid ja kümned jalgrattad. Sinna läheks küll iga kell tagasi. 
Astusime IKEAsse sisse ning mul tekkis hetkega väga kodune tunne. ... Võibolla sellepärast, et enamus mu mööblist Eesti kodus on IKEAst pärit haha, või sellepärast, et mu vennal on üks pehme (kaisu) koer kodus, mida IKEAs kümneid ja kümneid näha sain. 
Igatahees, kui me hostemaga lõpuks terve IKEA läbi olime käinud, kõik vajaliku leidnud, kassast läbi läinud, endale vett ostnud ja asjad autosse toppinud, tegime mõlemad oma autoukse lahti ja põhimõtteliselt kukkusime autoistmetele, mõlemad veel raskelt ohates. Ega see IKEAs šoppamine kõige kergem tegevus ei ole 😅 . Kokkuvõttes sain ma endale tuppa:
- kolm dekoratiivpatja
- ühe väga suure ja pehme päevateki
- lambi, sest terve möödunud nädala nägin ma õhtuti oma toas vaid seetõttu, et mu kirjutuslaua oli õppimiseks väike lamp. 😂
- paar väikest korvi, et mu asjad kapis laiali ei oleks
- kaks mega hea lõhnaga küünalt 😍
- ühe orhidee ja kolm mini kaktust 😊

ÖINE HORROR STORY

Ärkasin täna öösel üles nii umbes kell 3.30, kuna mu hostpere koer haukus nii valjult, et ma ei saand enam magada. Alguses ma arvasin, et okei, võibolla nägi ta mingit hiirt või kassi või muud looma õues, kuid siis hakkasid mul mõtted iseenest edasi arenema. Kuna ma olin enne magamaminekut just mingit õudukat vaadanud, siis ütleme nii, et need mõtted ei olnud kuigi positiivsed 😨😱. Mulle jäi täpselt selline mulje nagu koer oleks Kellegi peale haukunud. Ja selle Kellegi all mõtlen ma murdvarast või sarimõrvarit või ma ei tea keda veel. Asja muutis veel creepymaks see, et ma pole kordagi teda haukumas kuulnud (kuldne retriivne ehk eriti sõbralik koer). Ma proovisin end alguses positiivsetele mõtetele mõtlema sundida ja kui see ka ei aidanud, siis vaatasin lihtsalt veel pool tundi youtube´ist mingeid suvalisi videoid. Vaatamise ajal kuulsin ma veel päris mitu korda alt mingeid imelikke helisid.
Küsisin nüüd hommikul siis perelt, mis see ikkagi oli, mille peale Bruno haukus. Hostisa vastas, et tõenäoliselt mingid pardid või kass 😅 mul pole sõnu lihtsalt haha.

MIDAGI “ KINDA“ VEIDRAT

Kuna ma pidin eile ehk laupäeva õhtul klassiõega Aachenis kokku saama, siis oli mu hostema nõus mind autoga bussikasse ära viskama. Meie majast lähima bussipeatuseni tuleb vähemalt 20 minutit kõndida. Me arvestasime aega varuga, et ma kindlalt ikka bussist maha ei jääks ning järgmist ootama ei peaks hakkama. Niisiis jõudsime autoga bussipeatusesse ja nägime, kuidas minu buss, milleni oleks pidanud veel vähemalt 6 minutit aega olema, meil nina eest ära sõitis. Meil mõlemal vajus sõnaotses mõttes karp lahti. Hostema ütles mulle, et me võime proovida bussile järgi jõuda ning siis ma saan kiirelt sinna peale hüpata. No ja, eks me siis sõitsime peatus peatuse järel ning vaatasime, kuidas bussijuht üheski peatuses seisma ei jäänud. Me reaalselt jälitasimegi seda terve tee linna välja. Väike õppus mulle siis ka - ma pean igaks juhuks vähemalt 10 minutit enne bussi saabumist peatuses olema, kuna Saksamaal ei jää bussid mitte hiljaks, vaid jõuavad liiga vara 😆. 

MIS MIND EES OOTAB?

• Järgmisel nädalal alustan ma keeltekoolis saksa keele tundidega. Seda on kaks korda nädalas ja üks tund kestab 1,5h. See tähendab seda, et ma pean kahel päeval nädalas käima kahes erinevas koolis. 
• Järgmise nädala jooksul peaks mulle jõudma pakk Eesti perelt 💕. Ma ei jõua seda enam ära oodata. Nii tore on saada Eestist midagi, mida Saksamaal saada ei ole.
• Enam-vähem kohe peale minu 18. sünnipäeva oktoobris peaksin ma koos oma hostperega minema Itaaliasse Sardiinidele 🌞. Ma pole päris kindel, kuidas seda sõna käänama peaks. Loodan, et sai õigesti 😁

SCHOOL

The first day at school was quite horrible actually 😓. Not that the people weren´t nice to me or anything or the school was bad. Everyone was very friendly. But.. the first day, when you are in a new environment, meeting new people and hearing only a foreign language, it can be quite challenging. And it made me also very homesick. At one point I was feeling so sad that I almost started crying in class. I was trying to focuse only on the positive side of everything and see only the good things. But every time my thoughts came back to my home in Estonia. Luckily, I got to leave school earlier than I should have, because my host-mother was willing to drive me home. Fortunately, she works at my school as the secretary 😄. It comforts me a little bit. 
When I finally got home that afternoon, I sat on my bed and curled up under my blanked. I couldn´t hold my homesickness in anymore, so I cried a bit. My mood got better in about half an hour so I was able to go on with my day. 
On the next days, I started speaking more to my classmates. Now, as I have got to know some people from school, it isn´t so scary anymore. On Saturday, so yesterday´s evening, I met up with a classmate Natalia. At first, she showed me the town and then we had dinner at a restaurant called the White House. We both ate a Faijta. So for those, who don´t know, what a Faijta is – Faijta is a mix of vegetables and any kind of meat. It is served as a taco or a tortilla and it´s from Mexico and the USA. What´s more, we both took a coctail called Swimmin Pool. It was reallyyy good 💙. I definetly recommend this 😉

THE SCHOOL-SYSTEM IN GERMANY

Okay soo, the first time I saw my classmates´s timetable, my brain almost exploded 😮. I have never seen anything like this. They have three subjects, that they certainly have to take – mathematics, English and German. I think they can choose all the other one´s. So they can choose from Latin, Italian, Spanish, physics, chemistry, theatre, physical education, art, music, geography, biology, chemistry, informatics, history, pedagogy (?), philosophy and politics. Anywayys, there are so many options. The only thing that the students need to keep in mind is, that they need to have (I think it was) 34hours of lessons per week. The grades of the courses depend on how well the students do their exams and how active they are in class. In comparison to the Estonian school, some things are so much different 😄. Here everyone raises their hand almost all the time and absolutely everyone is very active during the lessons. I can see that everyone is at school to educate themselves and learn new things, not just to sleep during their classes. For me, this kind of studying environment is very motivating, even if I don´t understand a word of what the teacher is saying the whole lesson 😂. ( I should definetly mention, that every state in Germany has its own education system.)

THE FIRST P.E. CLASS

I think, that the only thing that has been dissapointing to me in Germany is the P.E. class. A week ago, I was given the chance to choose between 5 P.E. courses. I don´t remember them all, but I chose the one, that is based on football and track and field. At first, I wanted to have the volleyball course, but I dropped the idea right after I found out that the course also involved dancing 😑. Anyway, I waited the P.E. course the whole week, because I hoped that I could finally do a lot of sports. The teacher let us into the P.E. building right before the class was supposed to start, so at 13.15. We changed our clothes, went to the gym hall(?) and sat down, forming a circle. NB! Boys and girls ALWAYS have P.E. together. So that´s the first weird thing I noticed. Next thing the teacher started talking in German. She talked, and talked and talked 😃. I think it took us 45 minutes before we did anything else. We formed groups and started doing football exercises. And that was the only thing we did during this P.E. class. I´m sure that all the Estonian schools´s P.E. classes differ from each other. But when I have had P.E. at my school, Tallinn School No.21, we always have to do something and the teacher makes sure that noone just sits somewhere and does nothing. Now, I don´t even know, what to expect from the second P.E. class, because the teacher explained the course´s plan for the whole year, but all in German 😅.

IKEA

Yesterday morning, right after eating breakfast, me and my hostmother drove to the Netherlands. I have never been there before, so it was really exciting for me 😜. We drove there just to buy some things for my room from IKEA 😂. (btw the drive was only 20min). Right after we crossed the border, I could see the difference between the Netherland´s and the German houses. I found the buildings of the Netherlands really cute. I also instantly noticed a lot of flowers and at least a dozen bicycles. I would go back there anytime. 
We stepped into the IKEA and only within a few moments it felt kinda homey (?) ... Maybe because my Estonian room is only decorated with the furniture from IKEA, or that my brother owns one of the stuffed dogs they sell there. idk
Anywayy, when we had gone through the whole store, found everything, bought some water and put things in the car, me and my hostmother both fell to the carseats and sighted. Shopping in IKEA isn´t as easy as it seems. 😅
All in all, I got a bunch of decorative things for my room:
- three decorative pillows
- one big and really soft day(?)blanket for my bed
- a lamp, because for the whole previous week I have had to live with only the little lamp on my desk 😂
- a few little baskets for my things in my drawer
- two really good scented candles 😍
- one orchid and three tiny cactuses 😊

NIGHTTIME HORROR STORY 

Tonight I woke up at 3.30am, because my hostfamilie´s dog was barking so loudly, that I couldn´t sleep anymore. At first, I thought, okay, maybe it saw some mice or cat or some other animal outside. But then I began to think about every possible reason Bruno could be barking about. And these thoughts weren´t very positive 😨😱. It seemed to me that he was barking because he saw someone behing the door/window. Maybe a burglar or something. The fact, that I have never heard him bark before, made the situation even worse and creepier for me. So I tried to convince myself that everything is alright and tried to think positive thoughts. But frankly, that didn´t work. So I decided to watch some youtube videos. While watching, I heard some more strange noises downstairs.
In the morning I asked my hostfather if he knew why Bruno was barking. And ...  he told me that it was probably because of some ducks or a cat outside haha. 😅 I don´t have any words 

SOMETHING THAT WAS KINDA WEIRD

Yesterday evening I was supposed to meet my friend in Aachen and I had to get there by bus. As we live 20 minutes away from the nearest busstop (going by foot), my hostmother was willing to drive me there. As we arrived to the stop, the bus had already left. So I missed my chance to get to the city. It was really strange, because we were there 5 minutes before the bus should have stopped at the busstop. My hostmother suggested that we chase the bus until we catch it, and then I can hop on to it and she can drive back home. Unfortunately, the bus didn´t stop at any of the stops where it was supposed to stop at :D. So we had to drive all the way to town. We basically drove all the way behind it :D. Well, at least now I know now that if I want to catch a bus in Germany, I have to be there at least 10 minutes before. Because apparently buses here are not late, but too early. 😆

WHAT DO I HAVE PLANNED FOR THE FUTURE?

• My German language lessons at the language school will be starting the next week. They are twice per week and one lesson lasts 1,5 hours. That means that I have to go to two schools in a day twice per week. 
• During the next week, I should get a package from my Estonian family 💕. I can hardly wait for it to arrive. It´s so great to get something sent from Estonia, that they don´t have here in Germany. 
• Almost right after my 18th birthday in October, I will be going on a holiday to Sardinia, Italy, with my hostfamily 🌞.

Niisiis, olen lõpuks jõudnud oma uude koju. Mu maja asub mäenõlval ning siit avaneb imeline vaade üle ühe küla ja metsa. Nagu ma juba varasemalt mainisin, hakkan ma koolis käima Aachenis, Saksamaal, kuid elama hakkan ma Belgias. Täpselt meie aia taga peaks olema nende kahe riigi piir. Mu hostpere maja on mega suur ning väga modernse sisekujundusega. Mul on oma ka oma väike tuba, ning meil on aias isegi bassein. 😄

Käisime host-vanematega spagettijäätist söömas :)

Eile õhtul käisime me kogu perega Aachenis õhtust söömas ja kirikut vaatamas. Otsustasime minna tüüpilisse Saksamaa restorani, kus ma endale verivorsti kartulitega tellisin. Alguses ei suutnud ma midagi valida, kuna valik oli nii suur ja kogu menüü oli saksa keeles. Õhtu lõpuks olin ma väga väsinud, kuna me pidime rongi peale jõudmiseks juba kell 6 hommikul ärkama.

Minu jaoks oli väga raske hüvasti jätta kõikidega, kellega ma keelelaagris sõbraks sain. Ma olin just keskkonna ja uute inimestega ära harjunud, ja nüüd pean ma kogu kohanemisprotsessi uuesti läbi tegema. Homme on mu esimene päev uues koolis ning ma loodan, et kõik läheb sujuvalt. 

Paar sõna ka keelelaagrist. Meil olid keeletunnid 4 päeva nädalas ning ülejäänud päevadel külastasime me linnu nagu Heidelberg, Mannheim ja Speyer. Meid jagati meie saksakeele oskuse järgi kolme rühma ning iga rühm sai endale linna, mille kohta esitlus teha ning mis teistele ette kanda. Igas linnas oli meil ka vaba aeg, et me saaksime ringi vaadata ja soovi korral lõunat süüa.

Ma arvan, et kõige segadusttekitavam asi Saksamaal on rongid ja see, kuidas nendega sõites õigesse kohta jõuda. Pingeliseks suutis olukord muutuda sellel hetkel, kui olime just oma esimese rongi peale istumas. Olime end varakult õigesse kohta valmis pannud. Kui rong saabus, tuli välja, et rong on paigutatud teistpidi, kui me olime oodanud. Niisiis pidime me kõik koos oma saja kohvriga mööda perrooni jooksma. Jõudsime viimasel sekundil oma asjad rongi visata ja ise ka peale hüpata. Järgmisena tuli üles leida me broneeritud istekohad. Kuna kõik soovisid nii kiiresti kui võimalik oma asjad ära panna ja istuma saada, tekkis meie vagunis suur segadus ja järjekord. 10-20min hiljem olime end paika sättinud ja saime lõpuks oma närve puhata. Enamus meist pidid selle rongiga sõitma 3 tundi ning siis ümber istuma. Niiet täpselt siis, kui olin just suutnud maha rahuneda, pidime me uuesti rongi vahetama. Kõik algas otsast peale. Võib öelda, et see päev oli väga väsitav. Õnneks saan ma kooli ja koju bussiga hakata käima.

Paar veidrat asja, mida Saksamaal näinud või kuulnud olen: 

• 19ndal sajandil oli Heidelbergis veetase 9m kõrgem kui praegu, niiet kogu praegune linn oleks vee all.
• keegi pesi ülikoolilinnaku ees pursakkaevus oma koera.
• Heidelbergi loss üks tornidest kukkus kokku, kuna välk lõi sinna sisse, ehk see läks pooleks.

Soo now i have arrived in my new home. I live in a house on the top of a hill, so the view is spectacular. As i have mentioned before i will be living in Belgium, but going to school in Aachen, Germany. Right behind our garden should be the border of the two countries. The house is really big and the interior design is very modern. I have a cozy little room just for myself and my family also has a pool. Which is great 😄.

My new room :)

I have already been to the city of aachen with my family and we also had dinner together in a typical german restaurant. I ate blutwurst (blood sausage) and kartoffeln (potatoes). By the end of the night I was very tired, because i had woken up at 6am, to catch the train to aachen. 

It was really hard to say goodbye to all the new friends i made in the language camp. I had just gotten used to the new environment and the new people. So now I have to do it all over again. Tomorrow I will go to my new school for the first time. I hope everything goes smoothly. 😇

A few words about the language camp. It lasted for 8 days. We had language lessons 4 days a week and on the other days, we explored the cities nearby. We were divided into 3 groups, considering how many years we had studied German before. Each of the group got a city, where they could be the tour guides for the others. We were also given free time in the cities, so we could look around. 

I think one of the most confusing things for me in Germany, are the trains and how they work. + I had two suitcases, which I barely got out of the train by myself. It caused so much confusion and anxiety. Really exhausting. So before our train had arrived, we went to the place, where we could get on the train on time. When it finally arrived, we realized that the wagons were placed vice versa. So all of us had to take all our luggage and run from one side of the train station to the other one. We barely made it. When the train started moving, it took us about 20 more minutes to get to our right seats.  Most of us had to be on that train for 3hours and then change the train again. So I could say, that it was stressful day. Fortunately, I can go to school and back home by bus.

Interesting things I have discovered or have seen:

• someone was washing their dog in a fountain in the front of a campus (in the middle of Heidelberg old town)
• in the 1800s the waterlevel in heidelberg was 9m higher than it is now. So right now, the whole city would be under the water.
• I don’t remember the year, but one tower of the heidelberg castle collapsed, because it was struck by the lightning.
